Accessibility statement
CountyFinder should work for everyone. Here is how we try, and how to tell us when it doesn't.
Updated · Data: U.S. Census Bureau
We want CountyFinder to work for everyone. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA.
What we do
- Every tool works with a keyboard; the lookup tabs follow the standard tab pattern.
- Results are announced to screen readers as they appear.
- Text and buttons meet contrast guidelines, in light and dark mode.
- Animations are minimal and respect your reduced-motion setting.
- County outlines are decorative; every fact they show is also in text.
- No sign-in, no CAPTCHA, no time limits.
Known limits
- Location lookup needs your browser's permission; the ZIP, city and coordinate tabs work without it.
- Some large tables (for example all counties in Texas) are long; use your browser's find function to jump to a name.
Feedback
